Coconut Donkey is an independent studio in New York building focused, well-crafted iPhone apps. We start with a real problem, sand it down until it's simple, and ship.
We're based in New York and we like making things we'd actually open every day.
We're not chasing a category. We're chasing the feeling of opening an app and thinking: oh, this is exactly what I needed. Sometimes that means a metronome that teaches you salsa. Whatever comes next, we follow the curiosity.
Every screen should earn its place. If we can cut it, we will.
Native, fast, and respectful of your time, attention, and battery.
We collect as little as we can to make the app work. No ads, no tracking.
A practice partner for salsa dancers. Build a routine, set the tempo, and let the count, music, and voice guide you.
Sequence your moves, dial the tempo, and dance through the routine with voice prompts and percussion that keep you on the beat — whether you're learning Salsa On 2 or working through a Bachata set.
Email us. We're a small team, so a real person reads everything and replies within a couple of business days.
Bug reports, feature requests, billing questions, or just to say hi — same address for all of it.

At launch: Salsa On 2 and Bachata. We're working on Salsa On 1 and Cha-Cha next. If there's a style you want, tell us.
No. Once installed, Ritmo runs entirely on your phone. You can practice anywhere — studio, home, or the park.

Coconut Donkey ("we", "us") makes iPhone apps. We respect your privacy and try to collect as little personal information as possible. This page explains what we do and don't collect, and how we handle it.
Our apps store your data (such as the routines and moves you create in Ritmo) locally on your device. We do not upload that content to our servers, and we cannot read it.
If you contact us by email, we receive your email address and the contents of your message. We use that only to reply.
With your permission, Apple may share aggregated, anonymized crash and performance reports with us through standard App Store mechanisms. These help us fix bugs and contain no personally identifying information. You can opt out at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.
Our apps are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If we make material changes, we'll update this page and revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of our apps after a change means you accept the revised policy.
